Each tub contains 20 Premium Live European Nightcrawlers (ENCs), raised locally in the South of WA.

AXOLOTL FEEDING

European Nightcrawlers (Eisenia hortensis) are a well-documented, preferred main-feed species for axolotls, valued for their high nutritional content, substantial size and lively movement.

Our feed-grade ENCs are exactly the same Premium Live European Nightcrawlers supplied to our fishing customers, now available under our dedicated Axolotl Worms label.

Unlike common compost worms, European Nightcrawlers offer a substantially larger live food source. Red wigglers (Eisenia fetida) are considerably smaller and are known to be rejected by some axolotls due to their bitter defensive secretions.

OUR WORMS

Our premium ENCs are raised through our specialised, lab-style commercial breeding system in the South West of WA, designed to produce larger-than-average, strong and healthy worms.

Our worms average between 1.2–1.6 grams, with occasional specimens reaching around 1.9 grams.

POSTAGE & DISPATCH

We dispatch live worms on Mondays to meet Australia Post requirements for posting live organisms.

Orders placed after 3pm Sunday will be dispatched the following postal week.

STORAGE & LONGEVITY

Refrigerate at 4°C to 7°C: 2–3 months.

Can be stored below 25°C for up to 4 weeks, but worms will lose bulk more quickly.
